The survey, which should be completed by the CEO, is broken into 28 logical sections which you can complete over time or at a single sitting. Once all 28 sections are completed by you, the software automatically analyzes your responses and issues an extremely detailed report in seconds, which shows how you measure up against best business management practices. The analysis is focused entirely on how your business is being managed and it is not a tool for assessing whether a business may be a good investment opportunity or not. The output report delivers an easy to understand traffic light indication of what needs immediate attention, what needs to be given attention when you have time, and what is working well in your business. It has all the power of an experienced management consultant at a fraction of the cost.
I also provide a simple financial assessment tool which you can complete offline so that there is no need to input confidential information anywhere in the survey. It will automatically calculate key ratios and business trends for entrepreneurial businesses. More advanced businesses will most likely have their own sophisticated analysis models and use of the financial assessment tool is optional, and completely separate to the business analysis carried out by my software.
The output is in the form of a PDF report which will be approximately 50 pages long. It will deliver an individual report on each of the 28 functional areas of your business. You will be scored based on Best Management Practices as observed by me during almost 40 years in business and you will be assigned a quadrant within each of these core areas. This means that you can score in the top quadrant in some disciplines and in lower quadrants in others. You will also receive a percentile score overall, which will show how you are rated compared to Best Management Practice. This score will generate a set of recommendations specific to your business.
